今月21〜22日に開催されるサンヨーオールスターゲームのファン投票結果が発表されましたが、BayStarsからはクルーンが抑え投手部門で堂々1位で選ばれました。昨年は当初中継ぎをやっており、佐々木がどうにもならんとなってから急遽抑えに回った経緯もあり、球場に置いているファン投票ハガキには彼の名前がなかったはず。今年はさすがに記載があり、161km/hという球速はやはり魅力。当然といえば当然過ぎるファン投票選出となりました。しかも得票数が51万を超え、2位のD岩瀬、3位のT久保田(骨折にて欠場中ですが)らは40万に届かないと言うブッチギリ。また、選出されなかったが先発投手で三浦が5位、3塁手で村田が僅差の3位、遊撃手で石井琢が3位と、それなりに活躍している選手はそれなりの順位で投票されているようです。以前に比べて、チームで選ぶ傾向から活躍している選手をきちんと選ぶ、目の肥えた皆さんの公正な投票が増えてきた印象があります。G戦視聴率が落ちたと言われる昨今、野球熱が衰えたわけではなく、どこのチームも満遍なくファンがついていて、特定のチームばかりでは満足できない人が増えたと言うことなんでしょう。私はいい傾向だと思っています。明日は監督推薦も発表、今挙げた人たちも選出されて欲しいものです。岡田はん、よろしう頼んます。
